Baggage Information and Policies

Allowance for Checked Baggage

Each passenger is permitted up to 20 kg of checked baggage free of charge, including children, who are also entitled to this allowance. We recommend that individual baggage items do not exceed a weight of 32 kg.

Overweight Baggage Fees

If your baggage exceeds the allowable weight, additional fees will be applied based on the excess weight.

Carry-On Baggage

For safety and comfort, each passenger is allowed only one carry-on bag on board. This item should not exceed a weight of 6 kg (or 8 kg for laptops) and must fit within dimensions of 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm. We recommend keeping valuables, medications, and perishable or fragile items in your carry-on. Further liability information can be found in your booking confirmation.

Fee Structure for Overweight Baggage

The maximum allowable baggage weight is indicated on your flight ticket. Exceeding this limit will incur excess baggage charges. Fees are based on the applicable tariff structure and may vary according to weight or number of pieces.

Baggage Damage and Loss

In most cases, misplaced baggage can be located within 24 hours. However, if an item is missing for more than five days, the Lost & Found office initiates a detailed search. For baggage that remains unlocated after five days, or if you have questions regarding lost luggage, please contact our baggage center in Bern.
